Special Handling for Special Needs
Designing a custom application framework for your Visual FoxPro application isn't for the faint of heart. It
takes thousands of hours to write the most robust commercial frameworks. You
don't want to re-create that effort for your own custom software project without
a very good reason. Sometimes, though, nothing but a custom framework will do.
If your project needs a completely custom touch, we'll design your framework
with only those features you really need.
I've had the privilege to either create or work with several custom designed
Visual FoxPro frameworks. These include:
- Visual Codebook
- Visual MaxFrame
- Visual FoxExpress
- Mere Mortals
I haven't just used these frameworks, but have spent a lot of time pouring
over the source code behind them. Because I've dissected these leading
frameworks as well as other lesser-known frameworks,
I've also seen a number of different ways to address the same problems.
This gives me an insight into the structure of software that is rare among
developers.
